This weeks episode is a little sick in more than one way.  Not only was Sunshine deathly ill from a killer cold, but Pumpkin felt like discussing a subject that many of you may find extremely revolting.  Sunshine gets up on his soap box to warn everyone about the evils of concentrated pineapple juice as it is one of the needed ingredients for many a tiki cocktail.  Check those lables carefully or you may end up with a poor tasting mai tai.  Our regular listeners were very active in the past few weeks, giving us lots of subject matter and even some Music.  Thank you to Peter for the cool 80's tunes and listener Don for the feedback on a previous show topic, the merkin.  Because Sunshine was so ill he didn't conjure up a new cocktail so we had some old favorites instead.  Try a Yellow Bird for example, always a crowd pleaser and Pumpkins favorite cocktail.

Drink of the Week
Yellow Bird
3oz Pineapple juice (not from concentrate)
1oz banana schnapps
1oz coconut rum
Use a small hurricane glass for this one.  Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice and pour into chilled glass with cubed ice. This drink is for those with a sweet tooth.  Don't like em so sweet?  Try a squeeze of lime, it works well with this cocktail.

Theres nothing better than a show just coming together. Although the first few minutes were a bit difficult due to the unpredictable nature of a certain someones canine, it all worked out. Pumpkin had her pooch Charles join us this week and he certainly didn't mind making plenty of noise. For some reason he wasn't too keen on the cocktail. We tried a pomegranate lemonade type concoction that is sure to please anyone who isn't looking for a complicated beverage. Sweet and tart and still packed with plenty o' booze. Speaking of drinks, Sunshine tells the listeners about a new iPhone application call "Drinks." This handy little app has over 4500 recipes and you can add your own, perfect for the bartender in all of us. We also discuss the Red Cross current ban on gay blood, the unexpected electrical usage of your wall air freshener and plenty of other shenanigans.

Drink of the Week
Koro's Heart
3oz Pineapple juice (not from concentrate)
.5oz fresh lemon juice
1oz pomegranate schnapps
.5oz pomegranate syrup (we recommend Monin)
Be sure to chill the glasses first, the frost really makes this drink a winner. Toss everything in a shaker with ice cubes, not crushed ice. Shake for just a moment and pour into chilled glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a single lemon wheel.

The Zen Tiki Lounge is full of great tiki info this week and a brand new cocktail per the usual. The cocktail this week comes to us from the Belagio in Las Vegas, a snobby libation that pleases the taste buds and olfactory senses. Pumpkin brings us some discussion on working out with Jesus, a new aerobic exercise that is sweeping the southern states. She also shares a few stories from her most recent cruise along the eastern seaboard. Sunshine keeps a little more on topic with the first tid bits on Tiki Oasis VII coming in 2009. Sunshine brings some cool new websites for everyone to check out, you see our links below and be sure to give a hit and listen as these are also podcasts. Thats enough for a great show but Pumpkin tossed in a little banter about monkey poon because she has the endless need to bring the show down to a 4th grade level if you know what I mean. Still a great listen and an outstanding cocktail.

Drink of the Week
Nueva Vida
2oz Pineapple juics (not from concentrate)
1.5oz top shelf gold rum
.5oz Falernum
.5oz Amaretto
Juice of 1/2 fresh lime
Be sure to have a tall chilled glass ready with cubes of ice. Put everything in a shaker and give a good tossing. Strain and pour into glass. Top with grated nutmeg (careful not to add to much) and a mint sprig. Drink without a straw so you can enjoy the mint and nutmeg with every sip. Delicioso!

Sunshine and Pumpkin could not be happier about recording the 100th podcast. Not only was this a lot of fun, having so many listeners in the lounge but we met some new drinkers/listeners and a blast doing it. To get the party going we started off with the group sucking of a very large Scorpion Bowl, followed by several other favorite cocktails from the Zen Tiki Lounge. We honestly tried to make it through one show without mention of Pumpkins vagina troubles but one of our guests brought it up before we could put a stop to it. We also had a few unexpected bits of shenanigans that caught us off guard. This is just one of those shows you need to listen to and pretend you were part of it. Really!!! For this weeks cocktail just mix up a scorpion to share with friends or try one of the other great ZTL cocktails from our tour down memory lane. Look below to find the link to the Bikini Beachcombers, some of their great tunes played on this episode.

Click HERE to visit the Bikini Beachcombers myspace page, get some of the music already!

Drink of the Week
Scorpion Bowl
6oz Silver Rum
4oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
6oz fresh squeezed orange juice
2oz Orgeat
1oz Brandy
Just toss it all in a large communal bowl with lots of crushed ice and you and 3 friends are ready to get the party started. Garnish with a single gardenia or orchid floating on top, BEAUTIFUL.

Pumpkin has just returned from her trip to the east coast and just realized that she has become a bit of a cocktail snob. After two years of drinking fresh juice and fancy tiki cocktails she can no longer stomach the pre made crappy bar drinks served on cruise ships. Just goes to show that those who follow our cocktail making advice may discover that you have never really had a cocktail till you try one of ours. But, as luck would have it Pumpkin isn't in the lounge for long, her pooch was without a sitter and Sunshine had to call in co-host number 2. Luckily Starshine lives close by and was in need of a stiff drink. Starshine and Sunshine carry on with the show and get a little excited about their upcoming weekend in San Diego for Tiki Oaiss VIII. Listen for a spell and enjoy the shenanigans.

Drink of the Week
Chiquita's Hat
1oz Tropical Tequila
3/4oz 99 Bananas Schnapps
3/4oz Papaya Schnapps
4oz Dole Pine/Orange?Banana juice
Juice of 1/2 lime
1/2oz juice from maraschino cherry jar
Lots of ingredients but easy to make. Use a tall collins glass or tall tiki mug. Fill 2/3 with crushed ice and pour in cherry juice. Add 1/2 cup crushed ice to shaker and toss in everything but the lime juice. Shake a few times and pour into glass. Top with lime juice. Garnish well with lime wedge, pineapple spear, maraschino cherry, orange wheel and anything else you see fit. This is after all supposed to look like Chiquita's Hat. Use a nice long straw to avoid poking your eye out when drinking. Ravashing!!!.

Pumpkin is still playing hooky from the lounge, but Sunshine finds another co-host for the week and manages to have a good time. Starshine rejoins us in the Zen Tiki Lounge for a tart cocktail and an engaging conversation about gay marriage, party planning and things to do in Las Vegas. We end the show with a request to our fans, tell us your favorite ZTL drink or story for our upcoming 100th show. We can't wait. Mahalo.

Where in the world is Pumpkin? Probably somewhere in Maine, maybe Boston, but who knows for sure. Pumpkin is on another one of her long getaways but just before she left we recorded a quickie of a show for you. This episode is our first podcast dedicated to great tiki and surf rock music. A little exotic, a little thematic but certainly great for cocktails or a quick get together. Artists include the Bikini Beachcombers, the Aquamarines, The Island Groove Supper Club, Ken Emmerson and the Whoadads just to name a few. We couldn't help throwing in a little shenanigans here and there just to keep you entertained. Enjoy the tunes and we will be back next week.

Our listener submitted drink this week is the Pan Galactic Gargleblaster from none other than the Geoff Stein Project. Sunshine and Pumpkin would like to tell you that this drink is simply wonderful, but only our listeners still attending frat parties will agree with that. Not to say we don't love trying new things but a ton of booze in a cup with some sugar doesn't necessarily make a great time. Needless to say it got our buzz going and that got our show on. Pumpkin shares her longing for a trip to the Glen Ivy day spa for a nice butt rub and also brings a little item in the lounge for some show and tell. Sunshine has a story about the horrors of having AT&T for your dreaded phone service. On the tiki side of things we also give some great tips on how to put a little tiki into any national holiday including the 4th of July. Also good for memorial day, labor day etc. Next week we bring you another listener drink, the much mentioned Kungaloosh. Listen often, drink when you can and tell a friend.

Drink of the Week
Pan Galactic Garbleblaster
1oz Bacardi 151
.25oz tequila
.25oz gin

.6oz triple sec
1oz blue caracao
dash of bitters
dash of grenadine
No need for a shaker. Just find the biggest damn mug you can and add some ice. Drink quickly as we feel the taste is not for savoring.

China sure is in the news a lot lately. And not just because of child labor and lead in pretty much everything they make. China is sponsoring the upcoming Summer olympic games. Will you tune in? We might but we sure won't be buying things from China. Its not as hard as you might think but you will have to pay a little more. Our advice to have a drink before shopping. By popular demand we bring you the weekly tiki mail from Pumpkins vagina, and this time there is furniture to sit on. Nice huh! There are many more fun things for us to run on about. Tiki Oasis and New Kids on the Block are just a few. And don't forget to join us on our new facebook group. Just search for "Zen Tiki Lounge." Listen! You won't be sorry.

Drink of the Week
Trader Vics Cocktail
1oz dark rum
.5oz fresh lime juice
dash simple syrup
In a shaker, shake vigorously for 20 seconds with plenty of crushed ice. Pour into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass and garnish by floating one lime wheel on top. Another simple cocktail anyone can do.

It is rare that your faithful hosts get into an argument, but this week both Sunshine and Pumpkin are a little agitated. But no worries, a cocktail or two and things get rolling. Sunshine is fascinated with the amazing but horrible infomercial product the Hawaii Chair. You have to click on the link below to see it for yourself. Pumpkin is not so amazed but is more impressed with the New Kids on the Block making a comeback that will no doubt be short lived. Seriously, who needs NKOTB? Both hosts debate some of the finer points of the 1980's, arguably one of the best periods of pop culture. So sit back and listen along as Sunshine and Pumpkin argue, drink, remember and forget all in one episode.

Drink of the Week
Honolulu
2oz pineapple juice
1.5oz silver or white rum
Dash of grenadine
Dash of simple syrup
Add everything to your shaker with a handful of ice. Shake twice and pour over tall cocktail glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig. Simple.

Pumpkin is off her rocker this podcast, but that isn't to far from normal. Her somewhat interesting story about wild bears using toilet paper is entertaining after a cocktail. Speaking of stories and cocktails. One of the best reasons to have a cocktail is to give those people who can't tell a story some help. But anywho, we have a lot more show than that. Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island was caught with Mary Jane but didn't do time. Thank goodness, she is just to sweet to be behind bars. Sunshine gives some good resources for picking up a couple of great tiki and exotica albums for your retro music collection. Check out he website below and get some fresh old tunes. And, by request we bring you a couple of after dinner cocktails. One pretty good and one not so good. You can look them up anywhere on the net, just look for "Tahitian coffee" and "Hot rum cow." Sunshine liked both of them but Pumpkin is picky as usual. Be sure to tell a friend and spread us like a disease.

Drink of the Week
Coconut Breeze
1oz dark amber rum
1oz malibu rum
1/4oz falernum #8
1/2oz fresh lime juice
3oz cran/pomegranate juice
Ocean spray and others make the cran-pom juice. Make sure it is 100% juice with no high fructose corn syrup. No sugar added is also a plus. Put all ingredients in a tall cocktail glass or tiki mug with 1 cup crushed ice. Stir, do not shake. Good water dilution in this cocktail make it extra refreshing. Garnish with a single lime wheel on the rim and use a nice colorful straw.

Because Sunshine had just recently whipped up a batch of falernum #8 we just had to enjoy another cocktail using this once extinct ingredient. So, it was a monkeys dream that gave us inspiration. You will just have to try it and see for yourself. Now that you have had a drink you may find it easier to believe that California just ruled that gay marriage is OK. How nice. We wonder how long it will last this time. Many of your gay listeners are surely as curious as we are. Better run to those chapels quickly before the Christian right wing gets their way. But less seriously, politics aside, New Kids are back on the block. Better than ever? Who knows. But Pumpkin is sure to keep us updated and just might go to a concert. Sunshine is less concerned with NKOTB, more concern goes out to some of our listeners. Everyone needs a little happy thought to keep them going.

Drink of the Week
Monkeys Dream
3/4oz 99 Bananas
3/4oz banana schnapps
1/2oz falernum #8
2oz fresh orange juice
Toss all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with 1 cup crushed ice. Shake well and pour into cocktail glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a half banana and a half orange wheel. Check out the picture from the show to see just how the garnish works.

FALERNUM!!! Whats that you may ask? Well, its a little known tiki cocktail ingredient that can turn an average drink into a tasty adventure. Although there is now a company marketing falernum again (Fee Brothers makes it) its is highly recommended you make your own. This is not a task for the beginner, but is well worth it. Just search ye olde internet for "Falernum #8" and you will surely find the recipe we use here in the Zen Tiki Lounge. Now that you have your falernum, you are ready to mix up a Sneaky Tiki cocktail. And, now that you have a cocktail in hand you are ready to listen to the podcast. This week brings us an update on the poor banana and the affliction killing off the wonderful fruit. Also Pumpkin is happy to see that Cher is doing her crotchy old ass show in Vegas as well as stopping by Oprah. Sunshine gets a little serious with some details on the cyclone that hit Myanamar this past week and tells how you can make a donation to help. So, a little drinky, some news and a good amount of shenanigans. Enjoy!

Click HERE to check out the banana book that Sunshine is reading.

Drink of the Week
Sneaky Tiki
1.5oz dark rum
1oz light rum
1oz orange curacao
.5oz fresh lime juice
.5oz falernum
Toss all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with 1 cup crushed ice. Shake nice and hard for 20 seconds and pour into a tiki mug filled with more crushed ice. Garnish with a pineapple spear including the leaves and a maraschino cherry with sword. We recommend the tiki mug because this drink isn't pretty but tastes damn good.

Most of you have probably not heard of the terrible fate of our almost perfect food. The Banana may soon be gone forever. Sunshine has been doing his homework on this tropical fruit and most of what he found was sad news indeed. Listen to hear all the unhappy details. Pumpkin may be preparing to miss her daily fruit but still finds a way to bring a discussion of sexual addiction to the lounge. RLS is a silly little problem facing a few Americans but thank goodness our friends at the pharmaceutical companies have come up with a drug. Just one little issue. The side effects are gambling, sex and alchol addiction. Geeeesh. Just before we end the show Sunshine brings some happy news of this Summers Tiki shindigs on both the east and west coasts. Check them out this Summer. Listen often and be sure to tell your friends about the show.

Drink of the Week
Banana Daiquiri
1.5oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum
1oz orange curacao
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz fresh lime juice
.5oz simple syrup
1 large banana chilled and sliced
Put everything in a blender with 1.5 cups crushed ice. Blend till smooth and pour into a nice tall hurricane glass or any other tall fancy tiki mug. Best when you make at least two at a time. You want to share with friends don't you?

The more the merrier has often been used to describe unexpected shenanigans. Our podcast is no different. This week we welcome two wonderful guests, Harlow returns to tell us about her Toe Rape story. A new guest to the lounge Ebb drops by for a cocktail and just to see how things come together in our little tiki bar. Sunshine and Pumpkin are certainly not short on subject matter and the fact that we share no less than three or four cocktails in just under two hours makes things interesting. One cocktail worth mention is our first try at a low calorie concoction for our calorie watching friends. Listen carefully for the recipe and try it at home. Of noteworthy mention are some of our new friends from the Geoff Stein Project. We play two of Sunshines favorite songs from their new album and you can click the link below to check them out on myspace and find their music, just perfect for relaxing next to any body of water or your backyard.

Click HERE to check out The Geoff Stein Project on myspace. Great music to relax to.

Drink of the Week
The Tiki
1.5oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum
2oz pineapple juice
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz orange curacao
1oz cranberry juice cocktail
Be sure to use a nice tiki mug for this one, the color of the cocktail is not exactly pretty and some say thats what tiki mugs were made for. Put all ingredients but the curacao in your shaker with 2 cups crushed ice. Shake well and pour into a tiki mug filled with more crushed ice. Top with the orange curacao. Enjoy with a few friends.

Sunshine is normally the best of hosts, taking his party guests into consideration at all times. This week things got a little more personal. Sunshine brings us a delicious cocktail that features spiced rum, otherwise know as Pumpkins least favorite sugar cane derived alcohol. But, to her surprise the drink is damn good. The "Cable Car" is a spinoff of the much better known "Side Car." To make this drink you will need a good spiced rum, but Sunshine recommends Sailor Jerry spiced rum. Now that you have your drink try listening to the Creepy Creeps. Our second band featured that you will be able to hear live at Tiki Oasis this Summer in San Diego. Sunshine brings us some news from his trip to Las Vegas, including a visit to the new Trader Vics in sin city. Pumpkin is excited to discuss her discovery of a hom Brazilian waxing kit, but is a little afraid to try it herself. And some sad news. ATA and Aloha airlines both file for bankruptcy, so just try getting to Hawaii for anywhere under $1000. Thats a show! Listen, Drink, Enjoy!

Click HERE to visit the Creepy Creeps on myspace.

Drink of the Week
Cable Car
1oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum
.5oz fresh lime juice
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz orange curacao
.5oz simple syrup
Put everything in your shaker with 1 cup ice and shake till you can't hold the shaker, you want a little froth. Pour into a chilled collins glass with crushed ice and rimmed with cinnamon sugar. To make your own rimming sugar: 1/4 cup super fine sugar (bar sugar) and 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix well, then wet the rim of your glass and dip in cinnamon/sugar mixture. This drink really needs the cinnamon sugar rim, so don't skip it.

Our latest episode is well worth the wait. Pumpkin is well and rested after an illness of unknown origin. Here in the Zen Tiki Lounge we know the best cure all for any ill, cocktails and shenanigans. So this week is no different. Our drink this time around is a punch recipe meant to be shared with all of your friends and fellow tikiphiles. The flying monkey is full of rum and juice, and is sure to keep your party going. This week in the lounge Pumpkin contemplates her addiction to infomercials and her list of wacky and useless purchases. Sunshine discusses Tom Cruise as the new JESUS, yet Steve Wynn is probably a better candidate. The Dead Tones spin some tunes in the lounge and you can see them at Tiki Oasis VIII this August in San Diego. The show wouldn't be complete without welcoming a few new listeners and we have no shortage. There must be a record number of folks tuning in over the internet, as February was our most listened to month in our two year history. Mahalo to all our friends and listeners for making our podcast so much fun to put together.

Click HERE to visit Wynn Las Vegas.

Drink of the Week
Flying Monkey
2 cans Dole Pineapple juice (not from concentrate)
3oz fresh lime juice
3oz fresh lemon juice
750ml coconut rum
750ml mango rum
2 cups amber rum
Pour everything into a nice large punch bowl and add some ice. Start with chilled ingredients to prevent to much melting of ice or use one large ice cube. Using a cake bundt pan filled halfway with water makes a great punch bowl ice cube.

Two years of podcasting in the Zen Tiki Lounge and hosts Sunshine and Pumpkin are ready for more. This very special anniversary show is full of cocktails and shenanigans. Our first cocktail takes us back to episode 1, back in March 2006. The pineapple pussy is a delicious concoction of fresh juices and Vodka. We don't use the "V" word much in the lounge but every once in a while you can find a truly tiki cocktail made with Russia's #1 export. We also try a great drink that listener Mark sent in. The Tiki Torch is not only a name but a very HOT drink. Both tasty and fiery. Shortly after the libations hit our funny side Pumpkin starts on her usual rant about topics as important as people having conversations with their co-workers while on the crapper. Sunshine was much more interested in telling everyone about the new show line up for this years Tiki Oasis VIII in San Diego this coming August 14-17. Lots of great bands, tiki vendors and plenty of fun in the sun. Lastly we couldn't end the show without something totally inappropriate. Cum trees are in bloom and Pumpkin expresses her disgust with the not so enticing aroma of the pretty little flowered tree.

Click HERE to visit the official page for Tiki Oasis VIII.

Drink of the Week
Pineapple Pussy
3oz Pineapple juice
1oz Fresh OJ
2oz Vodka
1/2oz Grenadine
Combine all in a shaker with ice, give a nice 20 seconds of shaking and pour over crushed ice in your favorite tiki mug. Garnish with a pineapple spear and maraschino cherry.

Aloha and Happy V Day from Sunshine and Pumpkin. You may recall that Valentines Day is not our favorite holiday, not because we don't enjoy taking time to make special time for our loved ones, but rather because of the over commercialization of it all. So we decided to keep up with a Vday theme but making lite of things. Our cocktail this week is inspired by the hot fires of love and passion, appropriately called Tiki Love. Pumpkin suggests the ultimate V day gift for the special someone in your life, thats right....the annual hot Mormon pin up calendar. Those boys never take it all off, and really? Would you want them to? We also had to spend more time than usual discussing listener mail since we got so much feedback about our recent cow vagina chat in episode 82. Pumpkin swears she doesn't remember anything about it, but Im not so sure. Sunshine shares tips on getting rid of all those old pictures you have laying around and how to back up copies safely. And if that wasn't good enough Pumpkin introduces our new segment, "Crazy Christian Cousin." Now complete with a theme song and 25% more shenanigans. So as you can see this show is packed to the hilt with love, tiki, and cow vagina. Enjoy.

1oz Mt. Gay Amber Rum
1/2 oz 100 proof cinnamon schnapps
1/2oz white creme de cacoa
Combine everything in a shaker filled with 1 cup crushed ice and give a good jiggle for 20 seconds. Pour in a nice wide mouthed clear bar glass. Garnish with a single strawberry on the rim.

Welcome to the Zen Tiki Lounge. This week Sunshine and Pumpkin share a tantalizing tropical drink in a communal bowl. Sometimes sharing a huge cocktail is more fun than having your own. After a few dips of "Trader Vics Rum Cup" we were ready to chat. To our horror we discovered that local pizza delivery companies are encouraging people to take showers and run errands after ordering pizza, what kind of crazy idea is this? When we order pizza we can't wait long enough for it. Perhaps there are some challenged people out there that need other people in the service delivery business to wait on them hand and foot. Next we discussed the ugly topic of 4 girls finger painting. Don't know what that is? Google it! You will be amazed and disgusted at the same time. Sunshine also throws out another endorsement for Aunt Barbara and her drag queen tupperware parties. Check out Aunt Barbara on Youtupe, or just click on our link this week. Enjoy the show.

Click HERE to visit Aunt Barbara on Youtube, check out her cool videos and buy some damn tupperware.

Drink of the Week
Trader Vics Rum Cup
3oz Amber Rum
1oz Dark Rum
3 1/2 oz fresh OJ
2oz fresh lemon juice
1/2oz fresh lime juice
1pz Orgeat syrup
Combine all ingredients in blender with 2 cups crushed ice, blend for a few seconds till smooth. Pour into scorpion bowl or other communal bowl and add one squezed half of the lime, orange and lemon. These add zest and aroma. Add 2 or more long drinking straws and suck with a friend.

This weeks show was supposed to a little on the philosophical side, but Pumpkin took us in an entirely different direction. This show is mostly about cow vaginas. Yes, cow vaginas. Certainly the vaginas of cows have nothing to do with tiki, zen or anything of the sort. So, drink lots of Hai Karate and listen anyway.

Click HERE to pay tribute to Carl Karcher, founder of Carl's Jr restaurants and inventor of the bacon western cheeseburger.

Drink of the Week
Hai Karate
2oz Amber Rum
1oz fresh lime juice
1oz pineapple juice
1oz fresh orange juice
1tsp maple syrup, grade A
Dash Angostura Bitters
Shake it all well with ice and pour into tall glass with more fresh ice cubes. Garnish with a pineapple spear and cherry.

Everyone who listens to the show knows that Sunshine and Pumpkin like to start every show with a nice tropical cocktail. This show is no different. The drink however is a bit different. Sunshine worked really hard tasting and sampling to make sure that our drink of the week would remind all who imbibe of a sunny getaway complete with the sun block. Well, it worked. Both of our hosts are a bit schnockered this episode. Fear not, the show must go on, just a bit shorter and perhaps a bit slower if you know what we mean. Notice how we haven't mentioned any topics? Thats cause there weren't really any at all Enjoy the shenanigans.

Everything in a shaker with a cup of ice. Shake nice and pour into tall glass with 1 cup crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge and a maraschino cherry or two.

Before the year comes to an end Sunshine and Pumpkin felt the need to talk politics over a nice cocktail. We're all friends here. Nothing wrong with sharing a bit of booze and some thoughts on the upcoming travesty of a presidential election. Check out the link below to see which candidate you might want to think about voting for. And, its also the end of another year so we give some last minute party tips, including how to make that expensive champagne go a little further. Be sure to have a house drink already made for guests when the arrive to get things STARTED. Pumpkin couldn't end 2007 without one last rant about things that drive her crazy. This time its dogs in stores and rude salespeople. Dont' get in her way, you won't like it. Lastly a big thank you to all of our wonderful listeners. Please be sure to have a safe new year, don't drink and drive and check us out in 2008. Theres lots more shenanigans coming so don't miss out.

Sunshine and Pumpkin bring you Holiday greetings from the Zen Tiki Lounge. Not just greetings but a damn good cocktail sure to lighten any gathering. Our drink comes direct from Trader Vic himself and takes a bit of thought, so read the recipe very carefully or your gonna end up with cold, blended mess. We wanted to give you all some last minute tiki give ideas, though the late posting of this episode may not help. But if you can spring for 2 day shipping you just might have a great gift for that very special tikiphile. Be sure to visit Konakai.com for the best in tiki shopping and amusement. Pumpkin is still feeling a little anxious so we give her a little check up. Sunshine shares the magic of his fathers model train induction into the Richard Nixon Library in lovely Yorba Linda, California. .

Drink of the Week
Molokai Mike
Bottom Layer
1oz Silver
1oz OJ
1oz Lemon juice
1/2oz Brandy
1/2oz orgeat syrup
1/2 cup crushed ice
Top Layer
1oz Gold Rum
1oz grenadine
1 cup crushed ice
Toss all the ingredients for the bottom layer in the blender and pulse 3-4 times, it should still be lumpy, do not make smooth. Pour into fancy cocktail glass, one with a round bottom and a large mouth. Then toss all the ingredients for the top layer in the blender and let it go for a good 20 seconds. Pour gently over bottom layer. You should have a good yellow layer with a red layer on top. Its like a sweet and sour. Delicous!.

Pumpkin is having panic attacks and needs some serious relaxation. Luckily Sunshine has been seeing a stress therapist and can teach some newly learned techniques for reducing stress. Lets not forget we start the show with a great new cocktail right out of Sunshines head. A delicious concoction of pink grapefruit juice and various forms of Booze. Its a must try. The show wouldn't be complete without Pumpkin bitching about her lack of holiday spirit during our warm spell here in Southern California in December.

Click HERE to visit Ministry of Rum.com. This is a great resource for all that you didn't know about Rum and forgot to ask. Check it out.

Drink of the Week
Akala Kula (Pink Gold)
