In our never ending effort to keep it fun and new we crash a listeners pad this week. With booze in one arm and our portable studio in the other we drop by the home of Starshine (her old Indian Maiden name) for some impromtu cocktails, chat and a very short singalong with her husband from the never recorded band airportbar. Check out the pictures on our flickr page. For the first time we had a child in the studio, not to much of a problem but after a few drinks we pretty much let him do anything he wanted. This leads us to our discussion about different forms of child discipline. It's never to early to start.

Navy Grog
1 1/2 oz light rum
1 1/2 oz gold rum
1 1/2 oz dark rum
2 oz each pineapple, orange and grapefruit juices
in shaker with ice and pour over ice, etc.

This week we take you on our fabulous road trip to Trader Vic's, at the world-famous Beverly Hilton hotel in glamorous Beverly Hills, CA, in trendy 90210. Before we hit the road, we discuss the burning topics of nameless fruit drink, how to get out of jury duty, with assistance from our listeners, and Sunshine introduces his "scam" to raise money for the Lounge and pay for new toys. Finally we hit the road, spend half the day on the Los Angeles freeways, and arrive at Trader Vic's. We enjoy a well-deserved cocktail stiff enough to knock you on your ass, and suck up the atmosphere while dining on some average food. After much ado about something, we finally do the big vodka tasting show! With Lola and Regina joining us in the Lounge, we try 6 different vodkas and test their olfactory senses and tastebuds. The tastings included Belvedere, Popov, Smirnoff, Albertsons, Hamptons, and another Ghetto brand. Will the self-professed Vodka Snob, Lola be able to name the brands in this blind taste test, or just pass out trying? Join us in the lounge, for the usual verbal shenanigans and to help initiate our first two guests on the show.
